Dream Play: A Weekend Retreat for Women*

In these challenging times, we are called to share the dreams of our Sacred Ancestors, the Land, and our Collective Consciousness. There are many ways that we interact with our dreams of night, day and imagination, as our dreams reveal our relationship with our Inner World, and connect us to the sacred Web of Life.  What are your dreams sharing with you now? How can we honor our dreams into the physical world?  These are our intentions for this weekend gathering.

The Institute of Shamanic Animism (ISA) welcomes you to retreat to your dream realm at Juniper Well Ranch located in Skull Valley of the Sierra Prieta Mountain Range. You are invited to turn inward, journey, dream, walk the Crystal Quartz Labyrinth & the woodland trails lined with ancient Oak and Juniper trees, while you breathe in the sunset’s rose reflection over Granite Mountain peak.

This weekend retreat intentionally practices journeying with our waking and sleeping dream characters. Quynn “Oolah” Red Mountain and Elisabeth Black will facilitate 4 waking journeys in various locations around the ranch, including by fire light in the beautifully preserved Tipi.  In the gentle morning light, we will sit in circle and share our night dreams. There are times to walk the land, listen, sleep and journal writing. Gentle yoga inspired movement is offered to somatically integrate the secrets of your dream play.

There is space for 8-10 participants with a requested sliding scale donation of $150-250 dollars, which includes housing, most meals and retreat program. If you feel called to participate, yet the low end of the sliding scale is too much for you, contact Stephanie.

Retreat participants will enjoy Juniper Wells Ranch’s cabins, yurt, tipi and beautiful lands.  Private sleeping rooms are available.

For participants who can attend only Saturday – Sunday, please contact, Stephanie to make arrangements. Meals provided Saturday and Sunday and beverages throughout the weekend.

Contact Quynn or Stephanie to confirm your reservation and you will be sent more info, as well as options for payment.

*Women/Womyn/Wimmin , including LGBTQ, of all adult ages are invited to participate.

Your Retreat Guides:

Quynn Red Moq-whiteuntain is a shamanic practitioner, spiritual mentor and ceremonial artist.  She is the ordained Animist Minister for Earth Web Media’s “Web of Life Animist Church” .  She is also the founder of “The Institute for the Shamanic Arts” (the spiritual education branch of EWM), and Producer of the “Earth Tribe Network” ( EWM’s Animist Outreach Media).

After a life-altering physical experience at the age of 27, Quynn could suddenly hear the Spirit World, and felt an age-old calling that is called by one culture “Shaman”, although her Spirit Guides call her OOlah (meaning One Who Balances). This new connection came in the form of visions, auditory messages, as well as many forms of synchronicity and spirit traveling.  20 years later, after helping many people connect their Mind, Spirit World and Soul, Quynn experienced a crisis of the Body.  As she wove her way through a diagnosis of “Cancer” using her shamanic tools, she heard the Soul healing messages this “dis-ease” shared.   As she found her way back to wellness, she also brought back circles, sessions and workshop series that can help others with similar issues.

elisabethElisabeth Black  Elisabeth is an empath, shamanic intuitive, storyteller, poet, artist and teacher. She has a passion for dreaming and journeying to help you discover your soul’s message.  A dreamwalker since she was a little girl, Elisabeth remembers a dream at four years old where she was called out to offer healing energy to a child in pain. Since then, she has taught dream workshops and attended them both on this plane and on others via the dreamworld. She has done astral traveling, healing dream work, precognitive dreaming, and lucid dreaming.

Dee Owl Woman RN   Dee is a shamanic practitioner, flute player, drummer, and past life regression specialist.

“My travels have taken me far and wide to the ends of Mother Earth learning natural medicine in Africa. Learning love of life, culture, and spiritual enchantment in the Virgin Islands. I crossed lake Atatlan in Guatemala surrounded by extinct volcanoes to learn Trance Dance and Tantric Shamanism. I lived in an open air hut in the jungle of Belize to listen to my Mayan ancestors. I am a registered member of the Chinook and Quinault tribes in Oregon and Washington, a Sun-dancer, and the tree is my healer. They have all taught me well.

I am Owl Medicine. I live in both worlds. Come fly with me, Ms De-Owl-Woman!”

graniteStephanie Smith has climbed mountains, both of the Earth’s terrain and her interior realms, to gain perspective. Her reveling in beautiful vistas brings us together at Juniper Well for this sweet sweet retreat. Stephanie holds a degree in Gender and Women’s studies and is in her last year of a Masters in Counseling. She had organized this retreat to offer to, and support, participants in practicing playful skills of creative self exploration. Stephanie will lead breath and gentle movement practices inspired by a decade long study.  Stephanie considers herself an Animist, and believes in the essence of the earth, plants, animals, you and your dreams. She says, “Life could be a dream sweetheart…see you there!”
